On March 24, 1959, a group of employees of the Cheektowaga Central School District assembled together for the purpose of organizing a credit union. Under the guidance of NYS Credit Union League consultant, the group filed for approval of a federal charter. Approval of the organization was granted and a charter was issued on April 2, 1959.
April 2008, we opened our membership up to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the Town of Cheektowaga. This allows us to offer our vast array of services to a wider group of people.
May 2008, we implemented our interactive Home Banking and Bill Pay options. This day also marked the beginning of electronic statements. These options have been greatly received by the membership.
October 2009, our name changed from the Cheektowaga Central FCU to the Cheektowaga Community FCU.
January 2023, we opened our membership up to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the following towns: Hamburg, Blasdell, Orchard Park, West Seneca, Depew, Lancaster and Sloan
January 2024 our name changed from Cheektowaga Community to CIRCUIT Federal Credit Union.
Note: In accordance with Circuit FCU bylaws, in order to vote at the annual membership meeting, you must be a member of the credit union in good standing with a minimum share of $25 in your account and be at least 16 years old.
